Fiber optic lighting systems are favourable for many kinds of illumination purposes. Regarding illumination of show cases, the fiber optic lighting technology is able to present all its advantages. Within it's product range bedea akzent, the German company bedea Berkenhoff & Drebes uses this technology to offer systems to illuminate cabinets and glass cases. Besides a very gentle and decent light, these systems enable light designs for higher pretensions.

Due to temperature loads or UV radiation, the mostly sensitive exhibition goods could be damaged seriously. This danger is prevented by fiber optic lighting systems, as no UV or IR light is transmitted by the fibers. Smallest mounting measurements of the outcoupling elements allow an almost invisible illumination as well as a problem-free air-conditioning.

Whether there is a decent, invisible illumination to be wanted, or a contastive accentuation of the exhibition goods, the light designer is able to choose among various light sources, fiber optic cables, and outcoupling elements to achieve the effect that he is reaching for.
