Creative Light Design:
Focussed Light by Optaels
Within its exclusive product range bedea akzent, the German company bedea Berkenhoff & Drebes offers different lenses made of optical glass. By these so-called Optaels, architectonically designed areas can be illuminated in a very specific way, as they may focus the light on single object or spread the light towards special areas. A whole lot of variations is possible amongst the Mini-Optaels with only 14 mm diameter, the big 250-mm lenses, and lenses with square geometry. Even glass balls in different colours are available.
The different types of Optaels are the basic elements to be combined in order to create various light systems. They may be built in ceilings, combined to Kardans, and the Mini-Optaels are predestinated to illuminate show cases. The effect of all these types of Optaels is a focussed spot or fload lighting, whereas the glass ball "Gelato" has a ground surface and is available in different coulurs, such as cristall, saphire, or ruby. Due to their intensive colours, fantastic light moods can be achieved.
All Optaels are made of solid brass or aluminium with a chrome surface. All basic elements out of the bedea akzent programme may be combined with each other. Due to the unique design of the system, only one light source is able to supply different outcoupling elements with only one fiber optic cable.
