The German company bedea Berkenhoff & Drebes has made a name by its exclusive product range bedea akzent. Not only in interiors, but also in outdoor areas decent illumination effects can be achieved using this fiber optic lighting system. Light stones out of the LIS series may be integrated into teraces, pavements, garage ways, or outdoor foyers.

Homogenious and intensive light outlet is the characteristic of the light stones. It's a marking of ways as well as an illumination, depending on the way they are integrated in the given ambience. Built in walls, they illuminate, integrated in pavements or floors they show the right way. Due to the innovative possibilities of the fiber optic system, there are almost no limitations concerning their applicability.

It goes without saying, that light stones may be combined with other components out of the bedea akzent programme, such as mounting beamers or under water beamers for fountains and ponds.

Up to 160 light stones can be supplies with only one light source, with a maximum lenght of 20 metres for each fiber optic cable. Individual measurements of the light stones are optional, the standards are Ø50 mm and Ø70 mm, square 100 x 100 mm or 100 x 1000 mm as a light channel. The faces may be printed with logos or other signs. The light source may be combined with a colour changing module to realize decent colour changes within the light stones.

As only light is transmitted by the fier optic cables, the installation of all of the components is easy and safe to be handled. Whether for private purposes, or for public installations, the fiber optic technology offers not only advantages concerning design, but also regarding economics, compared to conventional lighting possibilities. Once installed, there is no further service neccessary, exept of changing the lighting media after 300 to up to 9000 hrs. (depending on the type of light source).
