Besides their function of lighting, the design lights of the bedea akzent programme offer an utmost of individual designing possibilities. It was the claim of the German company bedea Berkenhoff & Drebes GmbH to create an unique alternative system for illuminating living areas and objects. In combination with the complete fiberoptic system, these lights are esthetical objects for their own.

The lights combine functionality with problem-free integration within a given ambience. The light itself is supplied by one light source in a central position using covered optical fiber cables. There is almost no limit in application - wall lights with a focussed light or spread light beams offer a great variety indoors and in outdoor areas. Ceiling lights may illuminate wide entrees, or accentuate decent spaces within larger rooms. Even aristically designed light sculpures may be designed with the fiber optic systems of the bedea akzent programme.

The basic components are more or less cardanic beared, shiftable and focussable lenses of the Optael-series. As only light is transmitted and no currant, any type of design lights may be applicated indoors and outdoors. For special outdoor applications, especially designed accessories are available
