Light Globe inside the World Networking Room

A light installation with bedea Light Nets symbolizes the world wide web around crystals and the Swarovski group

Upgrading the Swarovski "Crystal Worlds", the World Networking Room was added. The center of this room is a globe with a total diameter of 4.5 ms. While turning, the 4 elements - earth, fire, water, and air - appear, accentuated by coloured light. At the end of each turn, the light centers in the midst of the globe, forming the 5th element, the spirit.

The oceans are illuminated by bedea sidelight fibers, whereas landscapes are formed by sophisticated, 3-dimensional arrangements of bedea light nets, moulded in transparent plastics. Basically developed for wide-areailluminations, the light net was used for the first time to figure complex objects such as the giantic Himalaya mountains or the wide spread desert areas of the Sahara in a unique esthetical way.

This project could only be realized with the experiences of bedea in the field of fiber lighting systems. 6 DMX-light sources with colour changing modules, bedea optical fiber cables, bedea sidelight cables and last but not least app. 55 ms. of bedea light net, together with synchronized environmental effects ( rotation of globe, light mood, sound, video) mediate an innovative, fascinating view about our "blue planet" to the visitor.
